Johansson on the podium of the 1st Symphonic Concert of the Landestheater Detmold



On December 5 Per-Otto Johansson opens the Symphonic Season of the Landestheater Detmold, completely dedicated to the 20th Century music. Richard Strauss opens the program with Till Eulenspiegels lustige Streiche, which continues with Ralph Vaughan Williams'Tuba Concert in F minor, composed in 1954 for the principal tuba of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Philip Catelinet. Here, Tubist Tobias Ravnikar is the soloist. Bela Bartók's Concert for Orchestra concludes the program.

In these weeks Johansson is conducting The Nutcracker at the Theater Chemnitz, while at the Landestheater Detmold he is at the head of Romeo and Juliet by Prokof'ev and La Fanciulla del West
