Paolo Mascari, tenor, was born in May 1997. At a young age, he began singing lessons with Stefania Zanchiello. In 2016, he entered the “Ottorino Respighi” Conservatory of music in Latina under the guidance of the soprano Virna Sforza and the bass Enrico Turco. He is currently enhancing his skills with the tenor William Matteuzzi. In 2022, he was admitted to the Advanced Specialization Courses of the "Rodolfo Celletti" Belcanto Academy under the artistic direction of Sebastian F. Schwarz and the musical direction of Fabio Luisi. In March 2023, he won the 77th edition of the European Community Competition of the “A. Belli”. Opera Theater in Spoleto. In December 2023, he was a finalist in the third edition of the Aliverta Opera Voice Competition. During his training courses, he attended several Masterclasses including: Vivica Geneaux, William Matteuzzi, Stefania Bonfadelli, Sherman Lowe, Renata Lamanda, Carmela Remigio and Marina Comparato. He made his artistic debut in May 2019 and since then he has performed in many contexts: “Teatro dei Rinnovati” of Siena, “Teatro dei Rozzi” of Siena, the “Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre of Kuwait”, on the occasion of the Italian Republic Day in 2022, the theaters of Sassoferrato, Sant'Angelo in Pontano and Fabriano, at the “Teatro San Carlo” of Naples, “Teatro Flavio Vespasiano” in Rieti, “Auditorium della Conciliazione” in Rome, “Auditorium Parco della Musica” in Rome, “Teatro Rendano” in Cosenza, “Teatro Menotti” in Spoleto, “Teatro Morlacchi” in Perugia and “Teatro Rasi” in Ravenna. Among the roles he played: Count Almaviva in the “The Barber of Seville,” by Giovanni Paisiello; Don Ottavio in “Don Giovanni” by W. A. Mozart; Count Alberto in “L’occasione fa il ladro” by Gioacchino Rossini, Don Ramiro in “La Cenerentola” by Gioacchino Rossini, Ferrando in “Così fan tutte” by W. A. Mozart, Alessandro in “Il Re Pastore” by W. A. Mozart, Tamino in “The Magic Flute” by W. A. Mozart, Pang in “Turandot” by Giacomo Puccini, Doctor Sinisgalli in “I due Timidi” by Nino Rota, An Honorable in “Gli occhi di Ipazia” by Giacomo Manzoni, Bill in “A Hand of Bridge” by S. Barber. From 2018 to 2021 he was a member of the Choir of the “Teatro dell'Opera di Roma” under the guidance of Roberto Gabbiani, Giuseppe Sabbatini and Elizabeth Norberg-Schulz. Thanks to this training course, he performed in Rome on the occasion of the G20 Summit, in front of the world's greatest leaders. With the highest marks, he graduated from the "Sapienza" University of Rome with a Bachelor and Master's degree in Philosophy.
