Born in Durango, Mexico, he has been member of the Ryan Opera Center of the Lyric Opera of Chicago, where he took part of several productions, including Aida (Il Messaggero), Riccardo in Giuseppe Verdi’s Ernani conducted by Enrique Mazzola, Royald Herald in Don Carlos, Steuermann in Der Fliegende Holländer and passenger of the World Premiere of Proximity. He also covered Števa in their producontion of Janáček’s Jenůfa having sang general rehearsals along Nina Stemme and Lise Davidsen. He is the winner of the seventh Manhattan International Music Competition that was held at the Carnegie Hall. He performed Rodolfo in Puccini’s La Bohème at the Teatro del Bicentenario, Don José In Bizet’s Carmen with the Toluca Philarmonic Orchestra, Borsa in Verdi’s Rigoletto, Il Conte di Almaviva in Il Barbiere di Siviglia and he sang in Lyric Opera of Chicago productions of Sunday in the Park with Lyric, and Rising Stars of Lyric Opera in twice in 2022 and 2023, conducted by Enrique Mazzola and Roberto Kalb, and scenes from Il Trovatore in a Verdi Gala along with Alfredo Daza and Eugenia Garza conducted by Rodrigo Macias with the Orquesta Sinfónica del Estado de México, the Orchestra founded by Enrique Batiz. He has sung G. Rossini’s Stabat Mater and Solemn Mass in the Main hall of the Palacio de Bellas Artes. He was a soloist in an opera Gala in Bellas Artes with Ramón Vargas and Sang besides him. Tenor soloist in Beethoven’s 9th Symphonie, Brahm’s Liebeslieder Waltzer, Bach’s 4th Cantata, Jorda’s Cantata Independencia, and Schubert’s Winterreise. He has sung at the Carnegie Hall, Civic Opera House in Chicago, Pritzker Pavilion at Millenium Park, Palacio De Bellas Artes, Centro Nacional de las Artes, Teatro Bicentenario, and every major mexican Theather scenes from Cavalleria Rusticana, Lucia di Lammermoor, la Bohème, la Traviata and has been conducted by Mexico’s most important conductors He had participated in Sankt Goar’s International Summer Program in Germany, auditioning for theaters from, France, Germany, Spain and Switzerland. He was a member of the Bellas Artes Opera Studio for two consecutive years. Winner of the Mexico District in the Metropolitan Opera House National Council Auditions in 2021. In the 2023/2024 season he has been part of the Chicago’s Lyric Opera Ensemble for his second and final year. Latest highlights of his career include the debut at the Aspen Music Festival in the main tenor role of Matthew Aucoin and Peter Sellars' Music For New Bodies and the role debut of Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi. In December 2024 he made his debut in Hong Kong again as Rinuccio. In Winter 2025 he will perform Peppe/Arlecchino in Pagliacci and he will cover the title role of Verdi's Stiffelio at the Sarasota Opera. In April 2025 he will perform the Teacher in the world premiere of Remedios Varios by Carlos Carrillo at the Chicago Opera Theatre.
